In Math, the children have begun learning about money. They have already learned about pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, and half dollars. This week, they will learn how to compare money, make change, and add/subtract money.
In Reading, the children will continue working on their story "Snakes." They will apply science into their reading as we learn more about snakes. Students will complete their research on Tuesday. They will use the information they have found to determine an opinion on one specific snake and write about it in more detail. Students will learn about main ideas and supporting facts as they work on this project.
In Grammar, the children will review adjectives and adverbs. They will do this through multiple activities and subject areas.
In Phonics, the children will continue learning about digraphs. They will learn about digraph - wh, and review digraphs sh, ch, and th as they will apply their learning into a variety of in class activiites this week.
In Spelling, the children will receive new words on Tuesday. These words will help them as they read "Snakes." They will also be used as a review in Grammar.
In Religion, the children will continue to prepare for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The children will learn about conscience and absolution, as well as prayers and responses needed for their special night.
