Students should have their addition and subtraction facts mastered. This will be important as we move into three digit addition and subtraction with regrouping. I have attached two math maintenance sheets students can use to practice their math facts.
Multiplication will be a big part of our third grade curriculum, To this end, I have attached a skip counting chart. Students can use this sheet to learn/memorize skip counting patterns for each number listed.. This will greatly help them with their times tables.
Please encourage your child to read over the summer. This will aid in their fluency and comprehension skills. They can choose any books that are of interest to them. Below is the Archdiocese of Philadelphia's recommended reading list if your child needs some ideas as to what to read next:
