For Summer reading, the incoming 7th grade will be reading the book "Hatchet" by Gary Paulsen. After reading, they will need to create a book report. I thought it would be a fun idea to have the students create a cheeseburger book report. I have attached everything you will need to complete this project with the exception of glue, crayons, etc.
This Cheeseburger Book Report Set is designed so that each layer of the cheeseburger is a layer of information about the book. The layers of this cheeseburger book report include:
1. Top Bun: Title, Author, and Genre
2. Onion Layer: Main Characters
3. Lettuce Layer: Setting
4. Tomato Layer: Plot
5. Cheese Layer: Conclusion
6. Meat Layer: My Favorite Part
7. Bottom Bun: Drawing of Favorite Part of the Book, Name, and Date
Students may color the pieces, print layers on colored card stock, or just print the colored pieces that are attached.
This is due on the first day of school and it will be graded. Students will present their projects to the class as well.
All templates are in the below attachment as well as a grading rubric which I will complete upon receipt of the project. If you should have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me via email at [email protected]
Have a peaceful and restful summer!
